Social Media as an Advocacy Tool

Both a pro and a con, social media has the power to reach audiences on a global scale. This allows for consumers to be informed on issues they may not have been otherwise. This blog will focus on the use of social media as an advocacy tool. For the past decade, social media has brought awareness to several important issues from the Black Lives Matter Movement, #MeToo Movement, to more recently the boycott of companies like Starbucks. This blog aims to highlight these advocacy campaigns that have united like-minded individuals to rally for important issues.

I look forward to your future posts.
